St Agnes Chamber of Commerce

In addition to producing this website, the St Agnes Chamber of Commerce is the force behind the annual publication that is so familiar to those living in and visiting St Agnes: the pocket-friendly Guide with fold-out Map.

The Guide is advertised in the Radio Times and other publications to encourage holidaymakers to visit St Agnes. All enquirers, both from these and from the website, receive a free copy by return of post. In addition, five thousand copies of the Guide are distributed to over one hundred Tourist Information Centres throughout the country. Other examples of our work are the large notice boards that provide a useful map and contact details of local businesses.

We help to keep St Agnes looking fresh and attractive and visitor-friendly by working with other community groups and acting as a pressure group to influence the activities of local Councils. We also make financial contributions such as the donation each year towards the cost of cleaning the beach and paying for facilities such as bins for dog waste and having them emptied regularly.

We are funded by our members. Currently there are about 70 members covering many of the businesses in the Parish, from retailers to holiday accommodation providers, from restaurants to those in industries such as surfing or crafts.
