Quarry Farm Cottage is located in 11 acres of beautiful open countryside. The area is known as Mount Stormy and its elevated position gives spectacular views to Perranporth dunes, to St. Austell china clay and to St. Agnes Beacon, and the view of the night sky is second to none.

The farmhouse has been restored and renovated sympathetically in the traditional Cornish way, using stone and granite. With exposed beams throughout, the cottage offers flag stone floors, an open fire in the lounge (where there is a comfortable, good quality, double sofa bed), a Victorian bathroom with a bath, and a well-appointed kitchen with a gas hob range. On the first floor is a double bedroom beautifully fitted out in rustic pine with a king size sleigh bed.

Outside, the garden is fully enclosed (so suitable for dogs) with lawn, patio, garden furniture and barbecue area.

Quarry Farm is able to provide you with a field for up to 2 horses if you wish to bring your own mounts to enjoy the wealth of tracks, bridleways and beach rides in this area. The fields have water and shelter and a private lockable tack room is available. Charge £50 per horse.

The property is deliciously secluded and access is gained via an exclusive track which is rather bumpy. There is plenty of parking space available, including room for your horse box or trailer adjacent to the fields if you bring your own horse(s).

Dogs are most welcome at Quarry Farm at no extra charge. Please let us know about your pets when making your booking.

The local area The farm is bordered by footpaths and bridleways, taking you out radially in all directions, a walkers', riders' or mountain bikers' paradise.

Two miles away Perranpoth offers a three mile long expanse of golden sand, surfing beach, (dogs on leads allowed all year round). A two and a half mile cliff top walk will take you to Trevaunance Cove for a sandy surfing beach and the Driftwood Spars Hotel. A further two mile clifftop walk takes you to Chapel Porth, a National Trust owned beach where the beach cafe sells renowned "Cornish Hedgehog" ice creams and flapjack and surfers congregate at low tide. A further two miles of clifftop walking takes you to Porthtowan Beach, another surfers paradise.
