St Agnes Bolster Pageant
Bolster Clay Workshop (Saturday in April, exact date to be announced) - Come and make a model, using best St. Agnes clay, of your house, or another building, to represent St Agnes Village at the Bolster Pageant.
Bolster Lantern Workshop (Another Saturday in April, TBA) - Create your own Bolster lantern from withies and paper to carry in the Lantern procession to the Bonfire on top of the Beacon.
Lantern Procession - (Saturday before May Day Bank Holiday) 8.30pm from Churchtown Square to the Beacon - bring the lantern you made earlier!
Bolster Barbecue and Bonfire - (Saturday before May Day Bank Holiday) on the Beacon. Lighting up at 9.30pm. The heat from the bonfire fires the clay models made a few weeks earlier.
Bolster Pageant - (Sunday before May Day Bank Holiday) The Bolster Drummers and the Knight Sir Constantine parade through the streets of St Agnes in search of Giant Bolster to face him in a fight to the death. Later in the day the challengers confront the giant at Chapel Porth for the final showdown. A great day out for the whole family.
