St. Agnes nestles among miles and miles of breathtaking Cornish coast road, which offer stunning views and challenging inclines. But it is also just 4 miles north of the popular Coast to Coast trail, which makes it a popular destination for young cyclists, and families who enjoy life on two wheels.
This trail runs for 11 miles from the lovely coastal village of Portreath to Devoran on the South Coast, and is almost entirely on purpose built cycle paths or quiet country lanes. Part of the Mineral Tramways Cycle Network, the trail is flat (ponies pulling copper ore and coal didn't like hills), making it ideal for children and young riders, but along the route there are plenty of extra tracks with more demanding sections for those who like challenges!
For more information, see Aggie Cycles based in St. Agnes Village offering bike hire, tours and pick up/drop off and Cornwall Cycle Trails, who also hire bikes from their base just outside Porthtowan.
